Our goal is to teach people with diabetes to take an active role in their diabetes care. As a person with diabetes, you are the most important member of your healthcare team. The Diabetes Center offers classes to help you learn more about diabetes and teach you how to work with your doctor to manage it.

Class topics include:

  • Diabetes Pathophysiology.
  • Meal Planning.
  • Blood Glucose Monitoring and Control.
  • Medications.
  • Stress Management.
  • Acute/Chronic Complications and Preventions.
  • Health Care Tips and More.

Instructors: Diabetes Nurse Educators and Registered Dietitians.

Participation in a group class setting is required if you have Medicare and/or Medical Assistance Insurance. If you are unable to attend Group Classes due to a special need that can be verified by your doctor, we will see you on an individual basis.

Classes are for anyone who has diabetes. Please bring a family member or friend with you to the classes.
