The DAISY Award is given quarterly to a nurse whose clinical skill and compassionate care exemplify the kind of nurse that our patients, their families and our staff recognize as an outstanding role model. She/he is consistently courteous, compassionate, attentive, approachable, responsive, respectful, empathetic and enthusiastic.
The DAISY Foundation for Extraordinary Nurses was created in memory of J. Patrick Barnes and is made available through collaboration with AONE, a subsidary of the American Hospital Association.
