Each year during our Annual Nursing Banquet, nurses who have been nominated in each of the various categories are recognized and the winners are presented with their awards. Many of these awards are made possible through generous donations from members of the community in memory of loved ones.
Friends Acknowledging Nurses (FAN) Award Program
A fund developed by Providence Health System to recognize, support and help nursing professionals throughout Susquehanna Health. FAN enables our organization to retain nurses and help them meet the challenges they encounter in their changing and growing profession. FAN helps provide funds to support:
- Recognition awards for outstanding nursing practice to encourage and maintain high standards of professionalism.
- Continuing education programs and conference opportunities for our nursing professionals.
- Scholarships for nurses to support their nursing education.
Above Clinical Excellence (ACE) Award Program
The ACE Award Program was developed to recognize our nursing professionals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence in their specific area of nursing such as Clinical Practice, Nurse Manager, Outpatient Services, Licensed Practical Nurse and Register Nurse.
