Bob and Linda Crockett
Bob and Linda Crockett believe that a strong health system supports future growth and stability in the region. That’s why they made a Cornerstone Society contribution of $10,000 to support Susquehanna Health’s Project 2012.
A master plan for facility upgrades, Project 2012 includes renovation and expansion of the Emergency Department, the Heart and Vascular Institute and upgrades to Susquehanna Cancer Center. The campaign also supports physician recruitment and will enhance access to care.
“We feel fortunate to live in an area with wonderful, dedicated health professionals, and we feel that a high quality of healthcare depends on support from all citizens, so we wanted to be part of this commitment,” explains Linda. “We look at this as building for future generations.”
Those future generations include the Crockett’s daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. Like Bob, their granddaughter was born at Williamsport Hospital and is growing up in the community her grandparents love and support through volunteer work and charitable contributions.
Linda has led United Way campaigns and volunteers as a girl scout leader as well as at her granddaughter’s school. Bob, owner of Crockett Financial Services, is also a community volunteer and was recently involved in fund raising for a new children’s wing at the James V. Brown library.
“We like to stay in the background, but we are very much in favor of supporting programs that benefit the community,” says Linda. |
