Lycoming College, a privately endowed liberal arts and sciences college and Pennsylvania College of Technology, an affiliate of Penn State University, a premier technical institution now granting bachelor's and associate's degrees in fields as diverse as aircraft mechanics, robotics, hospitality management and culinary arts, nursing, and physician assistant certification, are located within the city. In addition, Penn State University, Bucknell University, Susquehanna University, Mansfield University, Bloomsburg University and Lock Haven University are all within a 60-mile radius.
