Women's Health Specialists
Shari Berthold, DPT
Shari graduated from the University of Scranton with a master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 1998 and earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Temple University in 2005. Shari’s practice and interests have focused on issues surrounding women’s health including breast cancer, lymphedema, osteoporosis, incontinence and pelvic pain.
Shari feels passionately about educating health professionals and the community about the benefit of physical therapy for women’s health issues. She presented a poster presentation at the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association’s annual conference in 1998 on quality-of-life issues in breast cancer survivors. She became certified in the Leduc method of manual lymph drainage and lymphedema treatment in 1999. She authored an article published in PT Magazine in 2000 on bridging the gap for exercise and the elderly.
Amy Comstock, DPT
Amy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from La Salle University in 2007, and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from St. Francis University in 2010. Amy has undergone a rigorous six-month mentorship with a focus on pelvic floor dysfunction.
She has been working specifically with patients who have pelvic floor dysfunction, as well as the pregnancy/postpartum patient population. She has played an integral part in developing the pregnancy/postpartum program in coordination with the Susquehanna Health Birthplace. Amy has participated in prenatal education classes and has been working towards becoming a certified women’s health specialist through continuing education courses. She is looking forward in helping expand and develop various physical therapy services for women.
Chris Shatto, DPT
Chris received her bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Lock Haven University in 1994 and her Associate’s degree from Central Pennsylvania College in 1998 to become a Physical Therapy Assistant. She later completed a Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Neumann University in 2009.
Chris is an experienced physical therapist who focuses on treating the unique needs of female patients.
